My HDD died today & im thinking of just spending extra money & getting a SSD to replace it.
Couple questions

- Are SSDs worth it to store other programs over a HDD (Have SSD for windows already)?

- Are either of these sufficient enough to replace a HDD? https://www.microcenter.com/endeca/...4P049NDI5NDk0NTc3OSs2NjcmTlRLPWFsbCZwYWdlPTE=

Lastly , are there any comparability issues to look out for? Here are my specs

5 3600x

asus 1650s

16gb Gskill ripjaws 3200 cl16

Antec 550W gold plus psu

gigbyte b550m DS3H

lian Li 205 case
Samsung 250 GB SSD
Samsung 1TB HDD

Thanks for taking the time to help a noob! Really appreciate it.

The link comes up blank....but it might be my "work" blocking it.

"Are SSDs worth it to store other programs over a HDD "
I say yes. They load much faster and can run faster overall.

as far as compatibility....there usually isn't an issue....especially with SATA....and I assume if you are replacing an HDD you are going with a SATA style SSD.

....as far as what to get....there a lots of good SSDs out there.

I've been running these.

Samsung SSD 860 EVO

with no problems.
