Which one is better? Gtx 1080 sli or gtx 1080 ti? Please do inform me about the better one and why is that selected one better.... If possible please mention the price of the better one suggested....

Thank you for your time..

What's better ... a screwdriver or a wrench ... kinda depends on whether you want to put in a screw or tighten a bolt.

If I was building a box for a 1440p IPS 165 Hz IPS monitor w/ AU Optronic panel, Id get one 1080 Ti.
If I was building a box for a 2160p IPS 144 Hz IPS monitor, w/ AU HDR panel that are dropping next month, Id get two 1080 Ti's. One just isn't enuff.

For every previous generation, I wuda got two 1070s in SLI but the 10xx series changes everything .... mostly due to the lack of competition from AMD. Think about it.... nVidia has been kicking itself in the butt for years every time sum1 built a x70 SLI build instead of a x980 or x80 Ti build ... they make far more money on the more expensive card. But w/ no competition from AMD, improved SLI performance only hurts nVidia.

At 1080p, the scaling is 18% ... at 1440p, its 30-33%. at 4k, its 50+%.

So I don't see nVidia cutting their throats by improving SLI performance at 1080p / 1440p anytime soon. I thought Vega might do that but soi far not looking good at all.

I don't think you read my post or Hellfire's post...because if you did,we both said that SLI support is awful for gaming. The person is made this thread obviously wanted to game like the 1080ti and 1080 PC gamers do.Most games don't support either.

1. Unless LEds are the defining criteria, lose the Kraken X62 ... weak pump (o0.11 gpm), cheap aluminum radiator and huge noise machine. Grab the cheaper Swiftech H240 V2 which kicks the Kraken's tail while being, much quieter. See 23:00 mark. The Swiftech is a set of real custom loop components pr-assembled at the factory ... 10 times the flow rate, really copper / rads, quiet fans and expandable ... you can get a GFX card w/ water block and simply add a tube to hook it up. Its cheaper too ...see 23:00 mark

2. 3TB and larger drives have a much higher failure rate so would suggest avoiding those. Also whatever doesn't fit on ya SSD gets no benefit from being having the SSD ,,, If ya need more space then SSD can provide and speed matters, then an SSHD wis 50+ % faster than a WD Black.... same 5 year warranty and lower failure rate than the black too.

3. What speed DDR ? there's no significant price bump till ya get to 3200. And if overclocking, 2 x 16GB is a better choice than 4 x 8GB

4. The X1250 is a great PSU, box I am typing from has one. But here i'd use the Seasonic Snow Silent 1050 for twin 1080 Tis ... a Seasonic Prime 750 w/ just one.

Reading it and agreeing with it are two different things. Do some research first.

And try reading the OP .. which specifically asks about SLI. If the OP wasn't wondering about how it might be advantageous, they wouldn't have asked. Unfortunately, with no resolution stated, the question has multiple answers.

5 out of 16 does not constitute "most"

As I said, we do not recommend SLI for 1080p and 1440p but if you want to be able to take advantage of the latest 4k 144 hz panels, one 1080 Ti simply doesn't cut it

Irrespective of monitor specs, the scaling on the games would not be always good. SLI in 2017 is absolutely not recommended for gaming.
But then again, the 1080ti should pull it off, except in worst case scenarios.
