My room is located at the basement while
our router is located at main floor.


How do i improve my wifi connection without moving the router position
I am only getting 144.44mbps and while playing games I often get disconnected. Ihate that.


Planning to buy asus pce-ac68? Will it improve my connection at the basement?

Search for a wifi analyzer for windows, then use it to see your connection quality, and particularly, the signal quality on the other wifi channels...there are 11.

A new adapter may help. A 300N adapter is likely fairly old. Newer one might give better gain. IIRC, you'll probably have more problems at 5 GHz because it doesn't go through walls as well.
