Looking to build a mid to high end gaming rig.

I'm pretty new to all this forum stuff so go easy on me!! I've been wanting to build myself a gaming rig for sometime now and fortune has it i'm now in a position to start funding it. I won't be able to afford everything in one go so any suggestions on where one should start on a new build and recommendations on the relevant hardware would be much appreciated.

You have plenty left over and with this much left over i'd suggest going with intel build and getting the i5 2500k cpu which will out perform any AMD cpu for gaming

Think i messed up on the resolution then. I have a 32" lcd tv that i will be running output to via hdmi. I'm not too savvy with resolutions.
