Looking to get some second opinions about this build

The build is not bad. there is room for savings though. Of course getting the z170 is your best bet, but if you don't plan on overclocking or dong anything extreme, then bumping down to a i5-6500/b150 could save some money. $90 for RAM is a bit too much for me, You can save $10 on getting G Skill, but nothing really major about that. There are cheaper motherboards (Gigabyte and MSI come to mind) with the Z170 chipset. And to save a quick $20, do you really need a DVD drive?

Looks good to me. I have the same CPU/mobo combo with the same card, only its 1070, and it runs great. Someone will probably tell you you're PSU stinks though. I'm not sure why but everyone says the PSU on every build stinks.

*edit*
I've done the research and while there's plenty of cheaper motherboards out there ASUS rates the highest in every single review I've read which is why I went with that board.

My opinion would be, if you don't think your gonna need 16GB, maybe settle for something between 8-12. And if you already have a TV, then maybe a separate monitor could wait? (If money is an issue).

I'm with Herc on the DVD drive question... you've ordered a USB version of windows.... isn't that the only thing people use a DVD drive for now that Windows has discontinued support for playing DVDs/Blue-Rays within windows media player (you have to buy a player now)?

I'd strongly recommend looking at the ASRock Fatal1ty Z170 Gaming K4 motherboard I've built a few systems with them and I really like them and they're about 30$ less than what you've got in there.

Well you should be able to play (and probably stream) League and Overwatch on the high settings for sure, and if you want to save any money (and considering your price range your probably fine), maybe just settle for the stock heatsink that will come with your CPU
