So I'm putting together a new system next week and I'm stretching my budget a bit. I'm looking to spend between 600 and 800 but at the moment I'm hitting a grand. One thing I was thinking about trimming down was the RAM...I originally wanted 16 gigs but I was thinking that was a little overkill. I would like to somewhat future proof my builds, but I don't know if 16 gigs would be a little much in a Trinity APU build. My only thought was it would be beneficial to have more RAM because I won't have a dedicated graphics card for about 6 months and I don't want to run into a bottleneck while gaming or multitasking. I really need a monitor and I like to stick to well known brands so I added the Asus. (my last was a 24" Gateway LCD from back in 2008 and the backlight bleeds through a lot compared to newer LCDs). I chose the case because of the size and also to future proof a future build since it supports many mobo sizes.
Without further ado, here's my build:
