Upgrade 2024

  • AMD Ryzen 7 5700X3D ?

Would this be a good upgrade?

Solution
Potentially. Depends what you are doing with it.

RTX 3060 for 3440x1440 would seem to be the limit for gaming here. 5700X3D will raise the maximum potential FPS, but only if your GPU can keep up.
Yeap, it would ofc be a worthwhile upgrade but you should make sure you're on the latest BIOS version for your motherboard before dropping that processor onto the socket. How are you currently cooling the processor?

That case might leave your components on the toasty side...just my observation.

It would be, but it wont necessarily be super noticeable with your current gpu, you would also need a better gpu to take full advantage of the upgrade.
