Hello, I bought this pc awhile ago thinking I could actually play games with decent fps (i was wrong) but ended up getting some new things over the last couple of years.
Here is the computer that I have- https://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c04772310#AbT0
The motherboard-https://support.hp.com/ph-en/document/c04648625
I have the DDR3 8gb of RAM and the i5 4460 CPU.
I upgraded my power supply to a Corsair CX 650M and my graphics card to an EVGA GTX 1060 3gb (barely fits in the case).
Questions:
1. (Concerning GPU and PSU connection) I have the 8-pin going into my psu and a 6-pin going into the gpu but there is a 6-pin and a 2-pin on the same cable that aren't plugged into anything. The gpu seems to be working fine but gets loud and my case gets warm after playing PUBG. Did I connect the gpu and psu properly?
2. Would I have to replace the RAM and CPU if I upgraded to this motherboard? https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813130918
3. Would I be able to switch to any full tower or mid tower case with what I have now as long as it supports microATX motherboards?
Thanks!
