No, most games are 1-2 cores.

A 4 core is good, you will see a big difference compared to what you have now.

Sorry to sort of "necro" an old post. But, the 4 ore 3ghz AMD phenom one, i read a comment that said it already has thermal paste on it?, is that true or should i buy thermal paste for it?.
