Losing saved games?!

Hi all

Please help me out here.
I run Windows XP SP2 on my pc.

I am losing my saved games and profiles (not at specific times that I have noticed) in the folowing games:
-FIFA 10
-Emperial Glory
-Hunting Unlimited 2009
-TW PGA tour 2006

Note: I don't completely lose the data; it is still in folders on my pc; when I want to play though, there is no sign of my profiles or saved games....

What can I do?
Why does this happen?
