Hello,

I have an i7 3770k and asus p8z77-v lk and I run windows 8 N

When I put together my PC a couple of months ago it had it's HT on automatically. I stopped it a couple of days ago and when I try to re-enable it the BIOS says:

"Intel HT Technology" "not supported"

the options for HT however is still there and in fact turned "enabled" (this is the F7 (Advanced) -> CPU Configuration section of the BIOS)

Itryed to disable/enable it a couple of times in the BIOS and no matter what position I save and leave it at it just stays the same when I load windows - Off. I get 4 physical cores and 4 logical cores in Task Manager and in every program that I have to check it with.

What am I supposed to do to enable HT ?

yeah, it's just that the easiest way - asus update - doesn't really work, all 3 servers of asus were down yesterday, I may try again. And the thing starts with windows once installed and I can't make it not start.

But at least temporarily I fixed the problem - used the reset jumper for the CMOS and HT was detected as "supported"
