Lots of software missing after upgrading to windows 10

Hey guys,
I upgraded to Windows 10 from Windows 8.1 and noticed that a lot of software (such as MSI drivers for my motherboard, overclock tools, adobe reader,etc) were missing. Also, instead of the wallpaper, I had a plain black background (Does that mean anything?). Can someone please tell me how to recover all my previous software?

Did you do a clean install?

I'm not sure. I did the automatic upgrade. There were some of the older documents still available so I don't think so.

When it asked you what to keep, did you select both options? One of them was to keep all the software. Maybe you didn't check that option.
