low firestrike score.

my gtx 970 is getting a firestrike score of 4000, that is really low, how to fix this.

You might want to check in msi afterburner to see if its throttling it may be your cards stuck at a low clock

the base clock is at 1114 idle, and boosts to 1250 mHZ.

so, i tried unigine valley and got a score of 999.

Hmm... im looking and the GTX970 should be around 4400....

Just forget it, i've seen results since 1200 to 2500 for this card... fucking stress tests...

Either search for another test or try ingame tests...

What setting in Firestrike did you use? Extreme gives lower scores than performance mode.
Firestrike gives you a composite score for your entire system. It does not just test your graphics card, so if your CPU is slow, your score will be lower.

(my gtx970 will arrive tomorrow, i will post my results to compare if you want (i have an i7 920 oc to 4ghz)

Man, your processor is working at 1,4 ghz....

Install CPU-Z and paste here the main window please XD

And remember me to not asume that people look at all result lines (or know exactly what evety line means)

I'm not certain that the clock is operating that low during the benchmark, but I most certainly would start by monitoring the clocks, temps and usage of that CPU. You can possibly do that with MSI Afterburner, now that it offers the ability to monitor the CPU.

You can do it even with cpu-z, just keep it open during the test.

Oh, and you RAM is working on single channel? Check the memory tab what say in channel...

1) Some other benchmarks include Hidden Valley and Cinebench.
2) Your score is kinda expected if you're running the test of both CPU and GPU, as Bulldozer-based CPUs are weaker in single-threaded tasks than i5, and FireStrike is a gaming benchmark, which doesn't utilize 8 cores.

Those clocks shown are about 1/3 what they should be, however, when idle, CPU's, like GPU's, down clock.

You need to monitor the clocks while a game is running. MSI Afterburner lets you do this with their On Screen Display.
