Hello!
With new cpus and gpus coming out i decided to upgrade my pc slowly. Recently i bought i9 13900k and after setting up my PC i noticed that my fps in games has droped almost in half. Before i was using 8700k. Any ideas why it is happening? I did fresh windows install and drivers are fine.
My current setup is:
Motherboard: ASUS ROG Z790 E
CPU: i9 13900k
GPU: 1080ti
RAM: 32GB Corsair VenRBG DDR5 6000

My dude, i had an issue just like yours. It took ages to find out what it was but it was simple in the end. I was using good thermal paste but it was a couple of years old. I thought this would NOT be the issue but reseated with new thermal paste and it dropped from 80 degrees on BF2042 to 55-60 degrees and my stuttering on games stopped instantly. It might not work for you but for me...BINGO. (oh..i have an i9 9900k)
