Question Low FPS in Mafia III

I have been getting 40-50 FPS in Mafia III. I put all of my settings to low with 1920x1080 resolution. I'm hoping I can achieve a steady 60FPS. I can provide more information if needed. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Specs:
-NVIDIA Geforce GTX 1050 Ti
-Intel Core i7-7700HQ CPU 2.80 GHz (8 CPUs)
- 8GB of RAM
Also would like to add I have 2 graphic processors , Integrated Intel Graphics and the NVIDIA one I'm using.

Mafia III isn't well optimized which is what makes it difficult to reach 60 FPS.

the game is a CPU hog for sure. people with much faster, much better CPUs complain about it pushing theirs to 100% constantly while in use. your CPU is operating at a very slow frequency regardless of how many cores it has available so it will not be able to handle this game very well.

Understood, is there anything I could do though to get even a slightly better performance?

Yup. MAFIA 3 is a very poorly/bad optimized game. It even struggle to run smoothly on high-end rigs.
