Low FPS in Starcraft 2 with Asus GTX 590 3GB

Hello,
I'm facing really low FPS on SC2 in extreme graphics.
It's as low as 2~8 Max when in 1v1 aginst AI and it's only at the start of the game.
My specs of my DIY desktop are the following;
INTEL i7-2600K
GIGABYTE Z68XP-UD3
G Skill NT PC10600/1333MHZ 4GB x 4
1TB Blue 32MB 3.5' SATA3 HDD
MS WIN7 HOME PREMIUM 64BIT
ASUS 3GB EN GTX 590 DDR5 PCI-E
FSP 750W AURUM SERIES GOLD
COOLER MASTER STORM ENFORCER CASING
COOLER MASTER HYPER tX3 EVO PWM CPU COOLER

I have all the latest drivers of nVidia installed. Can anyone tell me what's wrong with my system?

What you could do:
1. Check PCIe Power Connector
2. Make sure it's in a PCIe 2.0 x16
3. Install MSI After Burner and OC it and see performance(It might have underclocked it self or somethin...)
4. Install Nvidia Control Panel

Basically, you have to make sure that your 590 is operational. Do as Legend says: get Afterburner (or EVGA Precision; I think it looks better) and see what it tells you about your card. It sounds like you're currently on integrated graphics. How are your temperatures, both CPU and GPU, under load?

I'm currently at work.
I'm not very good with PCs honestly.
May I ask where do I check the PCIe connector?
Am I right to say I must open the casing of my desktop?
By the way I'm running on a HDMI cable.
Does it affects?
I'm not sure how do I Over Clock the card too.
Never did any overclockign in my life >.<
It's my first time getting a desktop.
I've always been using a laptop to game.

How do I check my temperatures?

Install EVGA Precision: http://www.evga.com/Precision/
and turn on the Onscreen Display. This will give you a little text readout in the corner of your screen, so you can see if your 590 is getting too hot and throttling down to protect itself.
For the CPU, get Prime95: http://www.mersenne.org/freesoft/
and run the Small FFTs stress test with a temperature monitoring program like HWMonitor, Speedfan or Realtemp open. This will allow you to see how hot your 2600K gets under heavy load and to eliminate it as a possible cause of your problem.

Well its obvious you did not build the PC your self then.

have you applied all the updates to SC2?

is this the only game that runs slow.
if its NOT then i would suggest take it back to where you bought it for diagnosis or atleast call to describe the problem.

Can you take a picture of the back of your computer (with everything plugged in)

so we can check its all connected correctly (as mentioned before you may only be using the onboard graphics)

Oh, right! Is your monitor plugged into the motherboard or into the graphics card? It must be connected directly to the 590 for it to work.

It doesn't get the high praise they lavish on products like the Hale90, but it stays within spec and its rated efficiency. They only held back their recommendation because at the time of the review they didn't know its market price.

I've already applied all the updates to SC2.
I have yet to test out other games but for now I only have SC2 to really test on.
I'm waiting for D3 actually.

I didn't build the PC myself because I'm not really good with the wires.

I'll post a picture up when I get back it's 11.40am at where I'm from so, it might be up by the time you guys wake up.

@amuffin: I wanted to get a 850 power but the guy says I don't need that much -_-
Could this be the reason affecting the system?
I'm so heartbroken when I saw 3 FPS on extreme graphics... -_____-

no the PSU wont have an effect on FPS.

The PSU will either cause big problems or cause no problems at all. That's not your issue, I think. I'm hoping you've just got the monitor plugged into the wrong port.

Could it be my HDMI cable? Because I got a Samsung LED. The model is S22A350H.
The cable that came with the LED couldn't be used for my Graphic card. So I took the HDMI cable to use instead.

No, that shouldn't matter, not unless it's plugged into the motherboard.

Just to see if it's the Video Card, Test with a cheap video card and play it, Buy a GT 220($60) and play the game and see if you get 20FPS or so...

EDIT: The game might not support SLI or you need to check SC2's video settings ad mess around with it...

I've managed to fix my graphic card problem.
I realized that I plugged it in the wrong port.
And the shop guy didn't tell me that there's a converter plug for the GTX 590.
So, after re-plugging my LED along with the convertor, it's working fine now.
I'm getting 65~79 FPS on maxed graphics in 4v4 depending on the terrain.
Just a quick check, should I just keep this 590? or should I change to 2 580? But I have to top up at least $420~$450USD for the 2 cards + the power change to 850Ws

Change to 2 580s IF you got two monitor or more, if not than keep your 590 if you got a single monitor... Now, select my answer that i posted first and btw, upgrade to a 850watts if your going to 2 580s because it uses more power but even more if you OC it...
