I have a EVGA GTX560 superclocked 2gb and I get around 25fps on high settings. This dose not seem normal to me. I use r_displayinfo 1 in the command promt. for FPS

V sync on
2x AA
1080p

Specs:

HP h8-1230

AMD FX FX-6120 / 3.5 GHz (4.1Ghz Turbo)

10GB @ 1600Mhz

Antec 550W PSU

EVGA GTX560 Supercloack @ 907mhz core clock - 2048 MB 256-bit GDDR5 (with latest drivers)

HDD: 2TB 7200rpm

Im also using a physical CD is that matters...

Solution

I have Asus GTX 560 DCII which is very similar match to your Card except from different vendor. I could play @ 1920x1080 all settings maxed out except AA. My average frames are around 30~35. Sometimes dips 22

My sys is
I5 3570 + 550 W SMPS + 4 GB DDR-3 Corsair

Your card is a decent faster 2011 card, dont listen to others. I have played almost all recent games(2011 to 2012) and 95% of all games can be played with max settings except AA at most games. I believe either your CPU or HDD might be giving trouble. Try standing still (By looking at a foliage\tress) and check your frames. Disable VSYNC for demanding games always for cards like this.

not exactly asking for 60fps but 25? comon now lol

I guess I was just expecting more for the price I payed for the card ($188 USD)

I played through Crysis 1 with my rig when it was running 560Ti's and I could max out pretty much everything as I remember and the fps was consistently above 60 fps.

Did you just buy this card? You should have researched or looked and not bought a card that is a year or two old and got something more up to date. It could be many things.

In the Nvidia control panel, is there options for performance over quality? Sometimes those quality settings just kill your FPS and switching to performance can give you 30-40fps more with a very little video difference.

If I'm not mistaken the Nvidia 9000 series was the series where people were starting to get decent settings off Crysis 1. I think something else is at play with your system with a 560.

Since the 9000 series there is quite a few generations between now and then. You could play Crysis 2 just fine on a 560Ti. Crysis 1 should be lit up in frames.

Ya I'm not sure on that. All the slots are filled. Would I be better off with better ram?

Well I wouldn't go far far but I would be curious to know when you look at them are they all the same or do they look different. I'm just curious because its not common to see a 10 gigabyte setup normally you will have 4, 8, 16, 32 or tri channel 3, 6, 12, 18. Also what get said may be at play to. I know there is a vsync setting in the nvidia control panel that will cap you around 30 FPS.

Yes they all look the same. Would 8gb g skill be faster at all? I'm new to this so be specific

I'm not suggesting that increasing the ram would help his situation was just trying to figure out his configuration since like I said its a bit odd to have a 10 GB setup. Don't take it out of context.
Does anyone know if Crysis does a lot of writing to the hard drive I remember hearing it I believe on Linustech tips or maybe that was the load screens I can't recall.
I do agree try out the suggestions posted prior.

bigshooter had a good point that seems to be being ignored..........wacky amount of ram. can't possible be running the way it should. find 2 sticks of the same exact stuff ( 2 2gig sticks? ) and put them in the correct slots to run in dual channel mode and see what happens. ( after ram is in slots and before booting, clear cmos .........

in the games control panel.......... first thing i would disable is motion blur. resource hog and totally useless thing to add to any game.

if possible, put the game on hdd insted of cd.
