Hi, so im really confused I upgraded my cpu a while back to the i5 6600. (Not the K version as I had no intentions of overclocking however I know there is a work around to overclocking this version) but my csgo fps is lower than normal. I'm getting 300 all the way down to 120 fps and it bugs me. My computer specs are down below, if anyone has any info they can send my way it would be very appreciated. :)

My computer spec:

i5 6600
GTX 1070
16gb G Skills Ripjaws 2400mhz DDR
Gigabyte Z170x UD3
Windows 10

what is the monitor size and spec and what are your settings set at for csgo? Another thing could be if you are recording your gameplay and you have the bitrate really high.

ASUS VG248QE and all low settings, i've been playing csgo for years so I know there is no reason to run on high settings.

Yeah, everything look alright on the front end. What kind of PSU you using?

EDIT: And is it plugged into the wall, surge protector, or UPS? And have you had a power surge or did you shut your computer off unexpectedly.

Yeah but under the nvidia control panel there is the dsr smoothness and it set itself to 33% should I just leave it at that?

So I've done all that and nothing changed. I almost feel like it's windows 10 because there is no way my hardware isn't compatible together or bottlenecking so I'm not to sure.

I would use userbenchmark.com and test your computer specs and see where your hardware stands with everyone else. If you hardware is performing poorly, Its the PSU or other faulty hardware.

But do you use a surge protector or UPS? and how are are they?
