Low Fps on CSGO

Hi all, this is my first post on Tom's Hardware.

I recently upgraded my gpu from a Gigabyte GTX 760 2gb to the new MSI 970, but my fps ranges from 40-70.

I've read online that I should be able to get 200+ fps but I can't manage that even with all the settings set on low. Any suggestions or ideas on how to fix this are appreciated.

cpu: i5-4670k
gpu: msi 970 4g gaming edition
ram: kingston 8gb
mobo: asrock z87extreme 4
psu: corsair 600m

Have you tried verifying the integrity of game cache?
