Hey guys, i have been getting really crappy fps only on csgo. i mean i think my pc should at least be getting 150fps but i get about 50-80. what can be the problem, this is my main game and its pretty irritating

SPECS
FX-8320 3.5GHZ
GIGABYTE 970
MSI 970A-G46

As I said, your CPU is too slow.
You have 8 cores, but CSGO only uses 4 cores, but it uses those pretty much at the maximum. So youre seeing 44% total usage, because your other 4 cores are idle. You need faster cores, not more. An i5 which has much faster cores, even at the same clock as your FX-8320, will make your game much faster. Or you can try to overclock. But I doubt that will help much.

still i shouldnt be getting 80 fps, when prior to replacing my cpu i was getting 150

Well, then its something else. Why did it fry? Did you overclock it? If so, and this one isnt overclocked, then that would be the reason.
Other than that it could have damaged something else. Maybe your CPU is overheating and throttling.

I have an FX6300 @ 3.5GHz and i run csgo absolutely fine at 60fps (Monitor locked) You mention it fried, is your case/heatsink cooling good enough? Is the 8320 throttling due to excess heat? Also, 50-80fps isnt bad fps, i agree it should maybe a little higher, is turbo boost enabled in the BIOS?

The psu pooped put while overclocking therefore it fried, my old cpu was at 4ghz and this one i have now is at 4.2. and my temps never go above 35

how do i know if it is throttling? temps seem fine to me and not sure about turbo boost

And i agree with QSV, if the CPU got fried its highly likely your motherboard took a beating as well.

Is the new PSU Supplying enough power? Is it good quality? (Not cheapobrand 3000w PSU from ebay for 20 dollars?)

Also, not all chips are equal in performance, maybe the last 8320 you got was a pretty nice one and this one isnt quite as good, who knows.

Is the 4.2GHz OC stable? I would try resetting the voltages, taking it back down to stock, locking your FPS to 60 and trying with that.

yea the overclock is stable and while playing it stays locked at 4.2

Did you reinstall the system after you replaced the CPU and mainboard (what about RAM?)?
What else did you replace? What else was connected when the PSU blew up that you still use today?

im leaving so much out sorry. cpu, mobo, and psu were replaced. i tried 2 rams one that was in the bu
ild the blew up and new ram both worked atm im using the one that was in the system that blew.

i didnt reinstall os, and i have no other gpu but it works flawlessly on everything but csgo i get a solid 60fps on bf4 etc. and i returned the new ram. But i was looking on google and im seeing a lot of people get a decrease in fps ever since the new csgo update came out so im not sure that can be a big factor to all this
