Hello everyone,
So I recently purchased an Nvidia GTX 970 G1 Gaming edition. As the title suggests I haven't really seen much of an improvement since upgrading from my radeon hd7750. I am worried that I spent all that money for nothing. Is it maybe because it is a new card so games are not yet optimized for it? Either way the rest of my build is as follows...

MB: Asus M5A97 LE R2.0
CPU: AMD FX-8350 @4.0Ghz
RAM: Corsair Vengence 8Gb (2x4gb) 1333Mhz
PSU: Thermaltake TR2 750w
Storage: 1TB HDD

The difference should be massive.

Download valley and run it, post back with your score. It's free.

Make sure you set it to extreme HD preset.

Also you should get msi afterburner and check cpu/gpu temps while you do so.

No I just thought that I should include it, why? Is there something wrong with it?

It's pretty low quality

Ok so I ran the program and on extreme hd I averaged around 50fps but it would dip as low as 30 in some areas and as for temp it seemed to balance around 55C

I went and double checked the box and I noticed it is a TR2 not just TR, I don't know if that makes a difference but thought you would wanna know.

Nope it doesnt matter

So one thing i have noticed while gaming lately is that the 970 is barely using any power whilst gaming. I seem to never exceed 40% usage while playing and I'm wondering if that could be an issue if so it might be driver related?
