Hey,
I just bought a GTX 1080 8GB, which replaced my previous GTX 1060 6GB. However, after using it for a week or so I have some concerns, for starters the FPS generally is considerably lower with the new GPU. On CS:GO with lowest settings I can sometimes drop down to 90fps and generally on most maps will stay around 150-200 without streaming or anything. On GTA 5 with all highest settings I average around 40-60 fps. Its fair to say that these readings are not correct. I have reinstalled the Graphics drivers many times now and even factory reset the OS on my PC. Im really lost as to what could be the problem. (I am using the same CPU as before, i7 6700k)
Thanks.

Well csgo seems about right, such a low res you're mainly pushing the cpu. If you bump the res up to 1080p in csgo what happens?

In gta 5, how are you determining fps? Are you using the game's built-in benchmark or running an fps counter while you play?

With grass set to setting below ultra to very high in Anandtech's tests @ 1080p with 4x msaa in very high quality settings 99th percentile in the last test shows for the FE 1080 62.5 frames, thats with 4x msaa on.

How are you testing and with what settings?
