My rtx 2080 super is only using 50 to 60% in about all games.my specs are ryzen 7 3800x ,rtx 2080 super msi gaming x trio,32gb of g.skill 3600mhz ram, asrock x570 taichi, samsung 970 evoplus 1tb. My cpu usage is low only about 17% at any given time in games. i have tried reinstalling the graphics drivers and set power mode to prefer maximum performance.I have tried to up the settings to no avail. Im just lost now plz help!

Solution
Are any cpu cores hitting 100%?. Those games are not gpu heavy and running a lower resolution like 1080p it’s going to be hard to max out the gpu. Total cpu usage is fairly meaningless as it only takes one or more cores/threads at 100% to limit performance while total cpu usage is much lower.

Solution
And what kind of framerates are you seeing?

Theres a point of diminishing returns with all games (although at varying levels).
A 2080 Super for 1080p Fornite (Solo, for example) is probably going to net ~200FPS on Epic, and ~350FPS on Low.

However, the GPU is not going to be coming close to 100% utilization

my framerate in fortnite is 90 to 144 but a average of 110
overwatch 100 average
csgo is fine
doom 2016 is fine
rainbow is 130
but framerates are droping fairly often

What is a good way of checking cores?
