Low GPU usage with GTX 1070

I have this card paired with a R5 1600 @3.8 GHz and with 16 GB @3200 MHz but while playing some games like GTA V and Borderlands 2 i only get 40-60% of GPU usage.
I have "Maximum performace" on NVIDIA control panel and "high performance" set on power mode. Also i have the latest drivers installed.
Is there wny problem?

Look in performance monitor during gaming - are any of the individual cores hitting 100%?

Stop any programs that dont have to run while you’re gaming.

While playing L4D2 i only saw 1 core hitting 92% while the others were at 20-30%.
Ah CPU Cores does what? xD

If even one of your cores is maxing out, that’s probably the main thread, limited the gpu.

Might try uninstalling the gpu driver with DDU and clean installing.

Already did it.
Nothing changed.
What i thought is maybe the GTX 1070 doesnt need to run at 100% since this are easy to run titles.

Are you using vsync? That could lower usage.

Running Unigine Heaven benchmark puts my gpu at 99% usage all the time (with Ultra preset) so im guessing GTA V amd all other games i play just dont need my gpu to run at 100%.

Hmmm. As long as you’re still getting acceptable framerates guess it’s ok.
