low profile lga 1155 cooler

Hey, I'm buying a used I7-2600 from what I've heard it runs pretty hot. The sad thing is any reasonable cooler like CM Hyper 212 Evo doesn't fit my case. so the main problem is height it's around 154mm. So now I'm looking for good low profile coolers for around 27€ any suggestions would be great.

The 2600 doesn't run hot and the standard Intel cooler will do just fine.

The thing is the guy doesn't sell the cooler with the I7-2600 so I just really don't want to stick my I3 stock cooler on it as it would probably overheat with that

As far as I know, the coolers for Sandy Bridge CPUs were identical, so your i3 cooler will work fine with an i7.

If you're still unsure, then any cooler with an aluminium heatsink and 90mm fan will do just fine.

As far as I know, the coolers for Sandy Bridge CPUs were identical

Are you sure about that?
i7 2600 has 95W tdp, but sandy bridge i3 have 35-65W tdp.
With such differences coolers can't be the same.

I've heard quite a few complaint that stock I7-2600 cooler is pretty bad so that might be the case

Besides, it would be counter-productive for Intel to manufacture seperate coolers.

They actually do make separate coolers, at least sometimes, I'm not sure if they were doing this with Sandy Bridge. The 95 Watt TDP cooler will have a copper core while the 65 Watt one will just be aluminum. Copper can be pricey so Intel saves money by just using a solid aluminum block for their low TDP chips.
