Lower mouse sensitivity while holding right mouse button?

Is there a way to do this with a Logitech G500? I've just installed a new shooter which doesn't have a separate sensitivity setting in game for when aiming down sights/scoped. I know my G500 has on the fly DPI switches but is much rather be able to just have the sensitivity slow down to a given amount while the right mouse button pressed if possible.

I did see this but I've got no idea how to create or use a script?

OK I use d the script in the above thread and it has worked! BUT sometimes after letting the right mouse button go it takse a little while for my normal DPI to return, why is this?
