Thank you very much for the prompt reply.

is there a slot to insert that SSD in the PC?

I attached a picture.

I should have done my research. I already bought the hardware.

From your pic, it appears there is already one in there. The thing just above the GPU.
And there is only one M.2 port for a drive.

Can you get a closer pic?

Circle

I circled what I think is the SSD drive that currently holds windows. It’s only a 128 GB though.

Think it’s worth replacing with the 1TB nextorage?

Thank you very much for your assistance. It really helped me a lot.

I will have to copy windows to the HD and than replace the SSD.

I bought the nextorage for $55.

I will have to copy windows to the HD and than replace the SSD.
There are specific procedures to do this.
It is not a simple "copy".

1x m.2 slot with an Image

Assuming you have another drive (any type of drive) with sufficient free space to hold the entirety of your current m.2 drive:

1. Download and install Macrium Reflect
2. Run that, and create a Rescue CD or USB (you'll use this later). "Other Tasks". Create this on a small USB flash drive or DVD.
3. In the Macrium client, create an Image to some other drive. External USB HDD, maybe. Select all partitions. This results in a file of xxxx.mrimage
4. When done, power OFF.
5. Swap the 2 drives
6. Boot up from the Rescue USB you created earlier.
7. Restore (on the toolbar), and tell it where the Image is that you created in step 3, and which drive to apply it to...the new m.2
8. Go, and wait until it finishes.
9. That's all...this should work.

Thank you very much for the detailed step-by-step instructions.

The PC does have an internal HD. I will use both the HD and an external HD.

Once this is done, do you think the nextorage can function similar the previous 128 SSD?
