Hello,

seeing as my 850 Evo just died after two and a half years of use, I'd like to know if the Western Digital Black SN750 NVMe is compatible with my MSI B250 Krait Motherboard.

I am aware that the question is somewhat silly, but I'd like to be sure. My motherboard has an M.2 connection, but from what I've seen, the pins are different and I'm not certain whether it would work or not. Furthermore, the SSD in question is advertised as PCIE 3.0 for whatever reason.

Thanks for the help.

Yes. It is compatible.
Some M.2 configurations may disable some sata ports on motherboard. Consult user manual of your motherboard.

• 2x M.2 slots (Key M)
  • Support up to PCIe 3.0 x4 and SATA 6Gb/s
  • Support PCIe 3.0 x4 NVMe

Alrighty, great, thanks. On a sidenote, whenever my PC is on, I can shut it off with one press of the power button. I don't need to hold it, just press it and boom, it goes off. Should I be worried?

This didn't happen before the death of my SSD.
