A few days ago, I had my PC on sleep mode when the lights in my room started flickering. I didn't think much of it at the time, but a few hours later, I noticed that my PC wouldn't boot into Windows. I tried several fixes, but it kept booting to a screen that said "Diagnosing this PC."
I entered the BIOS and discovered that my main drive, the Samsung 980 PRO, wasn't recognized. I reseated the drive in the same slot, and it appeared again, but my Windows installation was corrupted. I reinstalled Windows, and everything seemed fine for a while.
However, three days later, the drive started randomly disappearing, even in the BIOS. I found that I had to manipulate the power supply unit (PSU) by turning it off and then on again to fix the problem temporarily. However, if I shut down the PC for an extended period and then turn it back on, the issue recurs. The drive is once again not detected by the BIOS.
Could there be a problem with my drive? I updated the firmware and ran a health check, which indicated that everything was fine. When I can boot into Windows, the drive functions normally.
I also updated my MOBO's BIOS
