I want to use an M.2 SSD on my motherboard (B250m-d3h) but it doesn't have the M.2 slot because it's an older model, is there a PCI-E adapter I could buy so I can use the M.2 SSD?

Solution
Are you sure that the board lacks an M.2 connector? The site says otherwise. Maybe parse a picture of your board after uploading it to imgur and passing the link here. If you own the very board that is linked above, you can drop in pretty much any NVMe SSD or SATA based SSD on the market. Just make sure you're on the latest BIOS update for the motherboard.
