[SOLVED] M.2 SSD not showing anywhere

Hey guys!

M.2 SSD: WD Blue 3D NAND SSD 1TB M.2
Motherboard: ASUS X99-PRO/USB 3.1

I am a newb in building PCs. I have 2 SSDs and a HDD in my computer, but the other day I bought a M.2 SSD. I installed it, and tried to install Windows 10 on it but it doesn't show up in the installer. I started my PC with the old, already installed Win 10, and it doesn't show in the partitions either. I tried the usual solutions, such as disconnecting every other drive, or setting the CSM to Disabled, or Clear the secure keys in the BIOS. I updated the BIOS too, but I can't seem to find any M.2 settings in the BIOS settings. Any help would be appreciated.

That M.2 drive is a SATA interface drive and will not work. You need a PCIe3 interface M.2 drive.

Crucial P1, Intel 660P, Samsung 970, XPG etc.

I would lean towards the Crucial P1, usually they are well priced even when not on sale. Just dont buy a PCIe 4 speed one, (theres onyl a few available right now), as there are some issue with backwards compatibility on PCIe3 boards.
