Question m.2 ssd placement on mobo

Hi all,
I have an aorus b650 elite mobo with a gen 3 m.2 on the first cpu linked slot. I want to add a m.2 gen 4 also now. I was wondering if i should add it to the second cpu linked slot or on one of the mobo linked slots? Im running a rx 6750 gpu

Is your mainboard a B650 Aorus Elite AX?

If not your mainboard, disregard..

If so, the specs imply that as long as you are not running a PCI-e gen5 GPU, then both M_2 slots are/can be gen 5 and gen 4...; so, where you have the Gen4 SSD should not much matter...

Your exact mainboard's manual (with Rev A, A2, etc.), if, listed!) will list exactly what speeds/PCI-e gen each M_2 slot is capable of...
