The 97K states that the M.2 socket uses both SATA or Pcie M.2 units.
But in SATA, the M2. socket only uses two lanes instead of the usual 4 lanes.
Does that mean that the performance will only be approximately 1/2 of the SSDs capability?
And, what if I use a PCI adaptor card that the M.2 drive plugs into, Will the drive work any faster?
The 97K has two free PCI slots and a PCIEX16 that could be used.
Thanks !
