My components:

Motherboard: Gigabyte Z590D
Memory: 32 GB DDR4
CPU: Intel i7-10700KF

I bought a new NVMe M.2 SSD disc today Samsung SSD 980, after installing it the bios does not recognize it. It says M2P slot is empty (N/A). In the slot M2A it showed my previous M.2 disc that was still inserted in.
I switched around the discs to see if perhaps the new Samsung disc is broken. Samsung disc showed up in M2A which means it works and the other disc did not show up in M2P. I have disabled CSM, fast boot and some other settings,
no changes.

I have read a couple of posts on different forums and i came across that the 10th gen processors do not support M2P slot on the motherboard only 11th gen do would that the be case for me as well?

I have read the manual of the motherboard and i did not notice any "red flags" that would indicate that the M2P slot would not work with 10th gen Intel processor.

Is there any BIOS settings that i may have missed which would result in M2P slot to no work?

Here is the link for the motherboard https://download.gigabyte.com/FileList/Manual/mb_manual_z590-d_e.pdf

Any explanation would be much appreciated thank you.
