Hello,

Doing my first build, did a ton of research, followed directions, read everything... Now when I'm starting up the PC, I get the initial screen that gives me the option to press <delete> to enter BIOS setup, which I do, but the screen goes blank; not shut off, just blank.

The PC sounds like it's running ok, no warning beeps. Tried switching DIMM around and using 1 instead of 2, but same issue. It's funny that it starts great then nothing. Tested all connections, PSU is running fine. NOTE: I'm using the on-board video due to not having a decent Video card yet.

Any ideas?

Thanks a ton for helping. :)

Tried resetting CMOS with jumper and also by removing battery/jumper switch. Starting up still goes to the start-up screen, I press and hold <delete> and the next screen shows my RAM, then black.

I checked that before posting. I'm using an old keyboard that worked about a month ago on the old PC. I'm wondering if that might be the issue if it's not recognizing that I'm pressing <delete>. If no buttons were pressed during post, would the monitor go to a blank screen eventually?

I picked up a a new USB keyboard and plugged it into my laptop to make sure it worked, which it does. I plugged it into my new build and it's like the MOBO isn't recognizing the hardware, so pressing the <delete> key (or any other key) does nothing.

Would I have to somehow install the keyboard drivers onto the new build from a USB drive or something?
