M5a97EVO r2.0 Won't boot, red light on /off

My system won't boot it stayes on the Asus logo where you can enter the bios . But this doesn't work i can 't get in the system . And the boot device light goes of and on when i restart it. My pc did work yesterday .
It's almost 2 years old now.

Has anything changed recently? Any windows updates or hardware changes?
Can you enter bios? (I wasn't sure if you meant you can't get into windows or can't get into bios when you said system). When you do, can you detect your hard drive ok?

1.2.8 section in your manual describes on board LEDs on your mobo. Find them and figure out which ones are lit and with what color.

i refer to the bios when i said *system* i have found the problem after taking a good look at the motherboard i have spotted a loose kabel , after that i work as usual , my thank you for your help
