Made a Mistake Buying 970 ? Or is it cool for 3-4 Years?

Hello Guys, So 1 month ago I bought the 970 while the 1070 I think it wasn't announced yet
I bought it for 336$, while now the 1070 costs around 450$ I think...
Was that a huge mistake, I bought it so I can play future games at least at Medium Settings, I don't care about the Best quality, I care about running at 60 fps +
CPU: I7-3770
GPU:GTX 970 G1
RAM: 8GB (Will upgrade soon)

I think so, especially for that price. 970 won't be a very strong performer. 1070 is way faster.

That's a rather large price for a 970, even a month ago. However, the 970 is what it is still. Its performance didn't drop because another card is on the market. What resolution ? If we talking 1080p, the 1070 isn't really going to bring anything to the table ... unless you see some benefit to 134 fps in BF4 and 86 fps in Witcher 3 at very high / ultra settings

I don't get the "I don't care about quality just fps part", turn down the quality enough and just about any card can do 60 fps.
