Could someone familiar other Editors, like Premiere
or Vagas take a look at Movie Edit Pro 2004.
www.magix.com I was wondering if this lower cost Editor
can really compete with the "Big Boys"?
I don't make much use of an editor, but I have used the
Magix Video Deluxe Plus E to make special motion menu
background clips, add text to some MPEG clips, repair
some audio, ect... and am somewhat impressed with what
it can do. As far as I can figure out the Video Deluxe Plus,
was the last USA version to use the Video Deluxe name,
they seem to be using Movie Edit Pro here in the states now
also.
Unfortunately they aren't offering a Demo download, so
what I was hoping for some kind of comparison based
on the web site description. At only $60 or $50 for the E
Version (Download) the neat audio and CD features as
well as the Cover & Label program extras almost make it
worth it to me. But I'm curious about how it compares
with the better known Editors.
I originally picked-up the "Video Deluxe SE" CD from a
manager's sale table at Comp-USA, for $2.50. They
still have it listed, on an order form that came with my
upgrade, at $9.95. You might find a copy of that on a
under $9.99 rack somewhere.
Luck;
Ken
