Hello, i recently bought 100 meters with cat6 cable and a lot of rj45 plugs, i do have a crimp tool. But my problem is fitting the right cat6 standard in the rj45 plug without the cables changing directions. This is seriously driving me nuts... Anyone has any tips?

Thanks, i guess i will be ordering a bunch of those

I like the version with the load bar. When I ran ethernet cables throughout my recording studio, I didn't know about that version, so I just used the "one piece" connectors. Took a bit of practice, and I may have ruined 1 or 2, but in the end everything worked out fine.

Hey are you using the correct connector? maybe ur using a stranded connector with solid wires (or vice versa).

Anyways, you are using cat5 connector which usually has thinner cables. Go buy the correct cat6 type posted above and make sure it matches ur cable type (stranded or solid wired).

That technique of stripping 2 or more inches so that you can straighten the cable then cutting it to length works very well. I have "taught" it to many people.

I was too tearing my hair out until one day at a job site I strike a conversation with this cabler and he showed me the trick of the trade. There is some "art" involved. Is like watching a sushi master going through the motions, and he would tell you he spent 7 years in apprentice before striking out on his own 😀
