Hi,
Im planning on building my first pc.
I want to play games like battlefield 5 and maybe overwatch and some other games. I also use programs like blender and premiere sometimes.
I’ve already made a list but I wanted to hear if someone has some recommendations! Her are the parts:
-Gigabyte 1070ti 8gb
-16gb ram 3200mhz
-i5 8400
-120gb ssd
-1tb Hdd

And also the budget is around 1500$

hey oliver,

thank you for your attempt to make a part list but lets be honest, if we turned your list in a car part...

4 rubber tires
steel frame
800pk engine

you might end up with a tractor instead of a sportscar.

are you confident in building it yourself?

Budget Range: (e.g.: 600-800) Before / After Rebates

System Usage from Most to Least Important: (e.g.: Folding@Home, gaming, surfing the internet, watching movies)

Parts Not Required: (e.g.: keyboard, mouse, monitor, speakers, OS) **Include Power Supply Make & Model If Re-using**

Preferred Website(s) for Parts: (e.g.: newegg.com, ncix.com -- to show us selection & pricing)

Country: (e.g.: India) we need to know where these parts are being assembled

Parts Preferences: by brand or type (e.g.: I would like to use an AMD CPU & Biostar mobo with a 24" LCD and full tower case)

Overclocking: Yes / No / Maybe

SLI or Crossfire: Yes / No / Maybe

Monitor Resolution: (e.g.: 1024x768, 1280x1024, 1440x900, 1600x1200, 1680x1050, 1920x1080, 1920x1200)

Additional Comments:

On the basis of your budget, and the parts you've listed, i'd suggest something like this:

That's excluding a monitor and OS.

But as superninja pointed out, knowing the purpose of the system and monitor being used would help refine a build. If you already have a monitor and an OS, you can go higher on the CPU and GPU getting better performance.

But the build as it is, would be a pretty decent gaming system, and not so bad for your occasional blender and premier usage.

With all of that said, would you not think of an AMD system? For the same price you get more core/threads, better longevity and upgrade-ability, and outside of gaming, better performance. It's worth thinking about.

Edit: The 120gb SSD is really too small for your boot/OS drive, you will fit windows, but not much more. A 250+ SSD would be advised.
