I built a computer about a year and a half ago, for the first time, and it was enjoyable and turned out well.
I used an ASUS motherboard with an Intel 975 chipset and I have an Nvidia graphics card in it.
My question is, does it matter at all if you buy a motherboard using a chipset from the same manufacturer as the graphics card. In other words, would everything run better if I were to use an Nvidia chipset MB for the next one I build?
I'm tinkering with the idea of building a new computer using the next generation of Nvidia graphics card, and I'm wondering if I should get a new MB using the Nvidia 780 or the new 790 chipset, or would I get better performance going with an Intel x48 chipset MB when they come ou?
Thanks for any help that can be provided.
