My dell laptop is not recognizing the DVD drive

No replaced the original internal drive with this one it was working and now it only works no and then. I have had ny laptop for 3 years

So basically it was working fine for a bit and then just stopped working correct? Has anything else changed since you replaced the drive most specifically the OS? What are your laptop specs?

did you check with windows update to get the latest driver or use dell with your laptop model and number to get the correct driver

No changes to the OS and what do you mean by specs?

he means name and model also the os use 32 or 64 bits
