[SOLVED] Max safe temp for Gddr6x on 3090?

Hey, just bought 3090 suprim x and mining on it.

Setup is:

• core clock -200 Mhz
• Memory Clock +1190
• Power limit 85%

(using afterburner)

Memory temperatures on full load are somewhere between 98 and 102 degrees C. Are those normal temps on this GPU, or is it a bit too high?

95C or lower if you want it to last. That 105C was added on later - I don't know if I'd trust that, so I'd stick with the original 95C.

I would not want to run those temperatures long term, it’s why I didn’t mine on my 3080. It seems those who want to mine on the GDDR6X card usually change the vram thermal pads or the cooler to liquid. I didn’t want to go down that route as it voids the warranty.

Yeah, modding the card is out of the question, because it's brand new.

Need to think about it, but on the first look it's like a return to the shop immediately...

Looks like i won't be able to run away from building a mining rig made of 6600xt's...
