With a March launch period which means the 3GB memory IC is already in hand because there's no way the laptop manufacturers would be able to hit that otherwise.

If the date is to believed and March is the end of the Q1. Samsung has not released it's 24Gb chips public yet, though they have said they plan to announce them in Febuary.

The 50xx series has already launched. Unless you have a handy time machine that lets you get a supply from the future then send them to nVidia in the past, don't expect to them them until mid cycle refresh. Now AMD hasn't yet announced it's next set, and it could very well be because they delayed them to use the newer memory, who knows.

What time machine are you using that the 5060/Ti has been even announced let alone launched?

The 5090 mobile has been announced with a launch month and laptop manufacturers already have models announced with them.

RTX 4060 Ti all over again?

was it ever a doubt?
Moment you saw the 5070 had 12gb there was no way in hell 5060 was getting it.

nvidia literally doesnt give 2 [insert word of choice here] about low end gaming people anymore.

in fact you know its goign to have same gimped memory bus as well.

Since the B580 was released and promptly sold out at MSRP I put email notifications on at a couple retailers for them.
Since then I have had more than a couple restock notifications at MSRP of $259-$269 and every time I had time to cart and enter my info and buy.
That tells me that thousands of them are shipping.
So yes, if someone has been shopping for one they have most likely had opportunities to buy it, in the U.S. anyway.
Like any new release under a high demand it will be a while before they are stocked and regularly available off the shelf.
But that is the same for any new GPU. When the 5060/5070 is released they won't be readily available for a good while as well.

Because you can't buy a B580 for $250. You can get a B570 for that.

yes we are royally and absolutely sodded.

and yes i think this 4070 super sitting in my rig will be the last i buy from them till they get a clue.

and i am hoping intel can get the other cards out and start making a bigger come back im buying a intel b570 to see what the image quality is like on these cards.

but id be intrested to see how rdna 4 stacks up.
I decided on a 4070S over a 7900GRE (barely). I love the card but next upgrade time I might have a different opinion.

I'm personally waiting to see what intel offers. And what amds next tech is my only worry is how long they will keep driver support going for rdna cards going they clearly can see that the tech is not hitting what they predicted. Which is why rDNA 5 is rumoured canceled a whole new chip design is on way.

Think of rDNA is like bulldozer.

New GPU tech is there Ryzen moment.

In no way can this be said for the architecture that powers both today's desktop TV consoles. Yes, and this technology will be merged back with cDNA, in some modern "AI" GCN variation, so it will be present in the future for "AI"+HPC calculations and for graphics, both games, but also for professional graphics processing.
