Hello

Just as of recently Windows Media Player has been opening randomly and seemingly without any reason. After looking around I disabled it and it hasn't reappeared since, however now VLC starts opening by itself. So I uninstall it, and now I get notifications saying "you don't have any apps able to open this .cda file". This tells me the media apps are trying to play something (nothing ever started playing, it was just a black screen). Any ideas on whats going on or how I could find and delete this thing? Kaspersky says there are no threats or problems too.

Thanks

Do you have an optical drive with a music CD in it?

A CDA is a CD audio shortcut file format.

Download Malwarebytes and do a scan and do a Windows Defender scan too.

Malwarebytes removed some files but didn't stop it from happening. My optical drive is empty too :()

Sometimes it reappears as soon as I click off of the window, many times over. Is it possible its a driver issue?
