Medieval 2 Total War hiccups, why?

LOL I love this thread. Um to Eucharist...... you sound like a little child, but here is my adivse. Overclock your very overclockable cpu to at least 3.0 GHz ( can be done with stock cooler) Dont touch your Ram ( keep unlinked) update to newest drivers, and the newer demo. I am NOT surprised that MTW2 gives you problems, it is a very intense game. I run it at 1680x1050 w/ 16AF and 4xAA Absolutely everthing jacked up. Huge Units etc. And I still get laggy after 4-5K units. I first played this game on my old X1950xtx ( which i Overclocked the **** out of.) And it performed in my eyes rather poorly. It wasn't until I got my E6600 and pushed it to 3.45Ghz, shoved a 8800 OC in and overclocked it further until I was satisfied with the performance. IMO get a new vid card. Nvidia seems to have more 'horsepower' a 7950Gx2 might do the trick but u might as well get an 8800 or wait for G92. Good luck.
