Memok! = red, motherboard failure?

Hello!

I recently set up a new computer. During the installation of the cpu stock
fan I accidentally scratched the motherboard by one of the installation holes, seemingly causing damage to a circuit close to the RAM slots. When booting up everything seems to be just fine, with theexeption of the MemOK! feature glowing red and the computer screen remaining black.Is there any chance the damage I did might be picked up by the RamOK! feature, and thus meaning the black screen problem is caused by the damage inflicted to themotherboard?

could also just be a memory problem which should resolve itself when you press the momok button. consult your manual about the memok feature or see:

This is most likely not the case. I have tried with the two RAM modules in several different slots, two at a time as well as one at a time. The RamOK! works fine, it reboots the computer several times, without doing much about the back screen however.
