i dont understand which of these rams would be better for my build. one has lower cas but lower freq.

G.Skill Trident Z RGB 16GB 2400MHz DDR4 - 15-15-15-35-2n - £132

Corsair Vengeance RGB 16GB 3000MHz DDR4 - 15-17-17-32 - £140

if you cant be arst explaining why either is better just tell me which to get.

thank you

CAS and timings are basically nitpicking the RAM for a min/max approach. Not really important in a common real-life scenario (IMHO)

So, for short, you'll want to get the one with higher memory and MHz speed that your motherboard will allow.

In those you suggested, the one would be the Corsair Vengeance RGB 16GB 3000MHz

There was a time when memory timings had a greater effect on the system speed. Now the frequencies are so high that it hardly matters anymore. If both sets were running at the same frequency, the lower timings would give you a such a small improvement it might get lost in test to test variation.
