Hi!

I bought a mini itx motherboard from Gigabyte, model GA-H55N-USB3. The socket of this motherboard is LGA1156.

I already have two memory modules Gskill, model Ripjaws-X F3-10666CL9D-4GBXL, where the package says "memory modules are designed Specifically for Intel LGA1155 processors Sandy Bridge"

My question is: these memory modules are 100% compatible with my motherboard? Is there any problem using a module that was originally designated for LGA1155 on a motherboard with socket LGA1156?

Thanks a lot!

Thanks for the help!

But now I came up with another question: the chipset on my motherboard is the Intel H55, and the Gskill site says the Gskill memory module is compatible with Intel P67, with no citation to the chipset H55.

My question is: this means total incompatibility between my motherboard (Gigabyte GA-H55N-USB3) and my memory modules? (Ripjaws-X F3-10666CL9D-4GBXL)

No,like I said they're compatible.
There are many RAM's that aren't listed in the QVL list but will work fine.Have a look at G.Skill P55/H55 certified RAM's and you'll see that they have pretty much the same specs as the ones in P67 certified RAM list
