Hello!
I recently bought/put together my dream PC as a retirement gift for myself.I have a great deal of experience dealing with general PC hardware however I have very little dealing with setting up RAM from scratch. That's what I was told I must do in order to utilize the RAM kit I purchased. Apparently I wasn't paying attention when I ordered the DIMMS because this kit is made for an AMD chip based system not an Intel one. Here is a complete rundown of my parts for this build.
Intel i9 13900KS
Gigabyte RTX 4090 24G
EVGA z790 Classified motherboard
Corsair DDR5 Dominator Platinum 5600 MHz 16G Dimms x4
EVGA 1600w SuperNova G+ PSU
So you can see the RAM is not ready for XMP in fact it has AMD's XPO configuration listed as to use. As I said above, I have been told that there is no problem that I should be able to manually configure my current RAM kit to use XMP rather that XPO but I haven't a clue where to begin.I've seen RAM timings mentioned in the BIOS but wasn't comfortable changing anything without some help or at least guidance!
Thank you for reading and possibly helping!
